The final trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is here and it is intense! I think it's going to be quite a dark and revealing journey. "This November, the future will change forever."
Here's the official synopsis from Warner Bros:
At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is here. I, for one, am glad to see that Newt Scamander's friends, including the No-Maj baker Jacob Kowalski, are back to join him in his latest adventure, along with a young Professor Albus Dumbledore.

Well, it seems the new year is off to a sad start. Alan Rickman died yesterday at age 69. I always loved watching Rickman play the villain in films like Die Hard and Quigley Down Under, but it was the role of Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films that I liked the best. Bean said that his death was like losing Snape all over again. I think that says it all.
Coming next November, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, another tale from the world of Harry Potter. This movie follows the adventures of Newt Scamander, author of the book Fantastic Beasts, some seventy years before Harry entered Hogwarts.
We're having a Harry PotterHalloweenParty this year. As a result, I've been madly pinning decorating ideas, recipes, and crafts to make. I've made a few of the things so far. The paper wands were a lot of fun and fairly easy. The chocolate frog boxes were a bit time consuming, but well worth the effort, as were the Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans boxes. There are a ton of lovely, free, printable signs and posters that are perfect for decorating with. There are so many fabulous ideas, it's hard to know where to stop!
